For women in particular, it can become a major source of distress. Despite rigorous exercise and weight training, many people find it hard to get rid of the loose skin under their arms.

This is where brachioplasty (or arm lift surgery) may prove to be very helpful.

What is brachioplasty?

Brachioplasty, or arm lift, is a cosmetic surgery in which excess skin on the underside of the arms is removed or tightened. The purpose of an arm lift surgery is to reduce sagging of the arms and giving them a more toned and balanced appearance.

During the surgery, an incision is made on the back of the arm. Liposuctions may also be done during the surgery to remove excessive fat. The entire procedure is performed under general anaesthesia.
