Video-Consultation  is a specialized type of communication that uses technology to provide real-time visual and audio customer review at a distance. The system exploits current video-consultation technology for the provision of advice and objective information. This would be for the clients own information and could also be used for the assessment, monitoring, and management of prospective or current clients and as a lead generation tool.

The Australian Government is preparing for the launch of its own $620 million Telehealth program to provide videoconference consultation services between patients and specialists, psychiatrists or consultant physicians utilising the same technology.
